Description

Ingredients
- 4 large ripe tomatoes, sliced
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 20 fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Wash and dry the tomatoes and basil leaves thoroughly.
- Slice the tomatoes and fresh mozzarella into even rounds.
- Arrange the tomato and mozzarella slices alternately on a serving platter.
- Tuck fresh basil leaves between the tomato and mozzarella slices.
- Drizzle the extra-virgin olive oil evenly over the salad.
- Drizzle balsamic glaze over the top if using.
- Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Serve immediately for the freshest flavor.
