Description

A refreshing and creamy Strawberry Matcha Latte that combines the vibrant flavors of fresh strawberries and earthy matcha. Topped with a smooth, fluffy strawberry blend, this latte is perfect for a nutritious and delicious treat any time of day.

Ingredients

Strawberry Topping

  • 1 cup fresh ripe strawberries (tops cut off)
  • 12 Tablespoons freeze-dried raspberries (optional, adds extra color and flavor)
  • 2 1/2 Tablespoons cottage cheese
  • 12 teaspoons maple syrup (to taste)

Matcha Latte

  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1/2 cup milk (or milk of choice)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup
  • Ice to fill your glass

Instructions

  1. Blend Topping: Add the fresh strawberries, freeze-dried raspberries (if using), cottage cheese, and maple syrup to a blender. Blend until the mixture is smooth, creamy, and lightly fluffy to create the strawberry topping.
  2. Whisk Matcha: In a bowl or a cup, whisk the matcha powder with the hot water until it dissolves completely and forms a smooth green tea base. Then add the milk, vanilla extract, and maple syrup, whisking thoroughly to combine all the ingredients.
  3. Pour Matcha: Fill two glasses with ice and pour the prepared matcha latte over the ice to chill the drink.
  4. Add Topping: Spoon the blended strawberry topping over the iced matcha latte, creating a vibrant and creamy layer on top before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, substitute cottage cheese with a plant-based alternative such as silken tofu or cashew cream.
  • Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of maple syrup according to your preference.
  • Freeze-dried raspberries add extra flavor and a striking color contrast but can be omitted if unavailable.
  • Use any milk of choice such as almond, oat, or soy milk for lactose intolerance or dietary preferences.
