Description

A creamy, rich, and flavorful homemade Caesar dressing made with parmesan cheese, garlic, lemon juice, and simple pantry ingredients. This quick and easy dressing is perfect for salads, wraps, sandwiches, and dipping sauces.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons water if needed for thinning

Instructions

  1. Add the mayonnaise, grated parmesan cheese, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and Worcestershire sauce to a medium bowl.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while continuing to whisk.
  4. Season the dressing with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. If the dressing is too thick, stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons of water until the desired consistency is reached.
  6. Cover and refrigerate the dressing for about 15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.
  7. Serve chilled over salads, wraps, sandwiches, or as a dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Add anchovy paste for a more traditional Caesar dressing flavor.
  • Greek yogurt can replace part of the mayonnaise for a lighter version.
  • Freshly grated parmesan cheese provides the best texture and flavor.
  • Blend the dressing for an extra smooth consistency.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy variation.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Stir the dressing before serving if separation occurs.
