A refreshing homemade lemonade made with sweet ripe peaches and fresh lemon juice for the perfect balance of fruity sweetness and bright citrus flavor. This chilled summer drink is vibrant, cooling, and ideal for warm days or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 4 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 5 cups water, divided
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices, for garnish
- Fresh mint leaves, for garnish
Instructions
- Add the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, and 1 cup of water to a saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat and cook for 8-10 minutes until the peaches are soft and syrupy.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the peach mixture cool slightly.
- Blend the peach mixture until smooth using a blender or immersion blender.
- In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice, peach puree, and remaining 4 cups of cold water.
- Stir well until fully combined and taste for sweetness. Add more water or sugar if desired.
- Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes until chilled.
- Serve over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves.
Notes
- Frozen peaches can be used when fresh peaches are unavailable.
- For a sparkling version, replace some of the water with sparkling water before serving.
- Add strawberries, raspberries, or basil for extra flavor variations.
- Stir the lemonade before serving, as natural separation may occur.
- For a frozen treat, blend the lemonade with ice until slushy.
