Description
Grilled Beef Kebabs are juicy, smoky skewers of marinated beef cubes grilled to perfection with optional vegetables, delivering bold, savory flavor in every bite and perfect for serving with rice, salads, or flatbreads.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs beef (sirloin or ribeye), cut into 1–1.5 inch cubes
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 medium onion, cut into chunks (optional)
- 1–2 bell peppers, cut into chunks (optional)
- Skewers (wooden or metal)
Instructions
- Cut beef into evenly sized cubes for consistent cooking.
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, paprika, cumin, and oregano to make the marinade.
- Add beef to the marinade and coat well. Cover and marinate for 1–4 hours (optional but recommended).
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 20 minutes to prevent burning.
- Thread beef onto skewers, alternating with onion and bell pepper if using.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
- Grill kebabs, turning every 2–3 minutes until evenly browned and cooked to desired doneness.
- Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Sirloin or ribeye works best for tender and juicy kebabs.
- Marinating improves flavor and tenderness but can be skipped in a pinch.
- Do not overcook to avoid dry or tough beef.
- Add vegetables like peppers, onions, or zucchini for extra flavor and color.
- Kebabs can also be cooked under a broiler if a grill is not available.
