- Prepare the roots: Peel the ginger and turmeric roots carefully. If you are using turmeric powder, you can skip this step.
- Chop roots: Cut the ginger and turmeric into small pieces to facilitate easier blending.
- Juice the lemon: Squeeze the juice from the medium lemon directly into a blender. For additional flavor, you can also add some lemon peel.
- Combine ingredients: Add the chopped ginger and turmeric pieces into the blender with the lemon juice.
- Add water and blend: Pour 1 cup of water into the blender and blend the mixture until smooth. You may add more water if you prefer a thinner consistency for the shot.
- Strain: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a glass, discarding the pulp to create a smooth liquid.
- Add sweetness: Stir in 1–2 teaspoons of honey if you like your shot sweeter.
- Serve: Pour the liquid into a shot glass and enjoy immediately for maximum freshness and benefits.
