Description

Easy Salmon Patties are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with savory flavor. Made with simple pantry ingredients, these budget-friendly patties are perfect for quick lunches, dinners, or hearty snacks.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans salmon, drained
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Drain the canned salmon and remove any large bones or skin if desired.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the salmon, eggs, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, parsley, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Mix until the mixture holds together easily.
  4. Shape the mixture into evenly sized patties.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Cook the salmon patties for several minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Transfer the patties to a paper towel-lined plate briefly to remove excess oil.
  8. Serve warm with lemon wedges or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Cooked fresh salmon can replace canned salmon.
  • Bell peppers or celery add extra crunch and flavor.
  • Dill or green onions can replace parsley for different herb flavors.
  • Crushed crackers work well instead of breadcrumbs.
  • Air frying or baking creates a lighter alternative to pan-frying.
