Ingredients
- 12 ounces pasta of choice
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 burrata cheese ball
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Season the sliced chicken with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the chicken until golden brown and fully cooked, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the mushrooms until browned and tender.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add the grated parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet.
- Add the cooked pasta and toss everything together until evenly coated.
- If needed, stir in reserved pasta water a little at a time to loosen the sauce.
- Transfer the pasta to serving bowls and place burrata cheese on top while the pasta is still hot.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
