Ingredients

  • 12 ounces pasta of choice
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 burrata cheese ball
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Season the sliced chicken with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the chicken until golden brown and fully cooked, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the mushrooms until browned and tender.
  6. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  8. Add the grated parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  9. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet.
  10. Add the cooked pasta and toss everything together until evenly coated.
  11. If needed, stir in reserved pasta water a little at a time to loosen the sauce.
  12. Transfer the pasta to serving bowls and place burrata cheese on top while the pasta is still hot.
  13. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
