Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 4 tbsp butter (unsalted)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream or half-and-half (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken for 6–7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat and add butter. Let it melt, then stir in minced garlic. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add brown sugar and stir until slightly caramelized, about 1 minute.
- Optional: stir in heavy cream or half-and-half for a richer sauce and cook until smooth.
- Return chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
