Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 4 tbsp butter (unsalted)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream or half-and-half (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken for 6–7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, lower the heat and add butter. Let it melt, then stir in minced garlic. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add brown sugar and stir until slightly caramelized, about 1 minute.
  5. Optional: stir in heavy cream or half-and-half for a richer sauce and cook until smooth.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
