Description

Sweet & Spicy Garlic Noodle Stir-Fry is a quick, crave-worthy meal packed with bold garlic flavor, a kick of heat, and just the right touch of sweetness. It’s endlessly customizable and perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz noodles (lo mein, ramen, rice noodles, or spaghetti)
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes or 1 teaspoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Optional add-ins: bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, tofu, shrimp, or chicken

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, chili flakes or sriracha, vinegar, and a splash of water.
  3. In a large skillet or wok, heat sesame oil over medium heat and sauté garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add vegetables or protein, and stir-fry until cooked through.
  5. Add the cooked noodles and sauce to the skillet, tossing everything to coat evenly.
  6. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until noodles absorb the sauce.
  7. Top with sliced green onions and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use rice noodles for a gluten-free version.
  • Swap in hoisin or oyster sauce for a richer taste.
  • Add peanut butter and crushed peanuts for a Thai twist.
  • Include snap peas, spinach, or mushrooms for extra color and crunch.
  • Double the sauce if you prefer a saucier dish.
