Description

Sweet Air Fryer Churro Bites are fluffy, golden nuggets rolled in cinnamon sugar, offering all the joy of churros without deep frying. Made quickly in the air fryer, they’re crispy on the outside, soft inside, and perfect for dipping or snacking.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For coating:
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
  • Optional dips: chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  3. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and set aside.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Lightly spray churro bites with oil or brush with butter. Place in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  6. Cook for 6–8 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden and puffed.
  7. While still warm, brush with melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar until coated.
  8. Serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Fill with Nutella or dulce de leche for a surprise center.
  • Add nutmeg to dough or use almond extract for a flavor twist.
  • Dip in chocolate and sprinkle with nuts or sprinkles for festive flair.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for 1 day and reheat in air fryer for 2–3 minutes.
  • Freeze uncooked dough balls and air fry directly from frozen with extra cook time.
