Description

A light, airy strawberry mousse made with fresh strawberries and whipped cream for a refreshing, elegant dessert that’s simple yet indulgent.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin (for firmer texture)

Instructions

  1. Blend the strawberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice until completely smooth.
  2. If using gelatin, dissolve it according to package instructions and stir it into the warm strawberry purée.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the strawberry mixture into the whipped cream until fully combined and fluffy.
  5. Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to chill and set before serving.

Notes

  • Use ripe strawberries for the best natural flavor.
  • Fold gently to maintain a light, airy texture.
  • Frozen strawberries can be used if thawed and well-drained.
  • Serve chilled and garnish with fresh berries if desired.
