Description
A refreshing and fruity strawberry lemonade made with fresh strawberries and zesty lemon juice, perfectly balanced between sweet and tangy for a cooling drink.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 cups water
- 1–2 cups ice
- Fresh mint (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Wash and hull the strawberries, then blend them with 1/2 cup of water until smooth.
- If desired, strain the strawberry puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds.
- In a pitcher, combine lemon juice, sugar, and remaining water. Stir until the sugar fully dissolves.
- Add the strawberry puree to the lemonade and mix well.
- Chill in the refrigerator or serve immediately over ice.
- Garnish with fresh mint if desired and serve cold.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar to taste.
- Use honey as a natural alternative to sugar.
- Replace part of the water with sparkling water for a fizzy version.
- Add other fruits like raspberries or peaches for variation.
- Stir before serving if the mixture separates during storage.
