Description

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1 packet onion soup mix (or 1 tbsp onion powder + 1 tbsp dried minced onion)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter (for greasing or searing)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil or butter.
  2. Season the chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, mix sour cream with the onion soup mix (or onion powder and dried minced onion).
  4. Spread a small amount of the sauce on the bottom of the baking dish.
  5. Place the seasoned chicken in the dish and spoon the remaining sauce over the top to coat the chicken completely.
  6. Bake uncovered for 30–40 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce is bubbling.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
