Description

Sheet Pan Caramel Apples are a fun, no-fuss version of the classic caramel apple, featuring sliced apples drizzled with gooey caramel and loaded with customizable toppings. They’re perfect for sharing at parties or enjoying as a quick fall dessert.

Ingredients

  • 45 apples (mix of tart and sweet varieties)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup store-bought or homemade caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips or melted chocolate
  • 1/4 cup crushed nuts (peanuts, pecans, or almonds)
  • 2 tbsp sprinkles or crushed candy
  • 1/4 cup crushed graham crackers or cookies
  • Sea salt, optional for topping

Instructions

  1. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and slice apples into 1/4-inch wedges, removing seeds and cores.
  3. Toss slices lightly with lemon juice to prevent browning, then arrange in a single layer on the sheet pan.
  4. Warm caramel sauce until pourable and drizzle generously over apple slices.
  5. Sprinkle with desired toppings such as nuts, chocolate chips, cookie crumbs, or sprinkles.
  6. Let the caramel set for a few minutes, or refrigerate for 10–15 minutes for a firmer texture.
  7. Serve directly from the sheet pan or transfer to a platter.

Notes

  • Use tart Granny Smith apples for contrast or Honeycrisp for sweetness.
  • Add a drizzle of white chocolate for extra flavor.
  • Try a s’mores version with marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate.
  • Drizzle warmed peanut butter along with caramel for a nutty twist.
  • Add seasonal sprinkles or candy canes for festive occasions.
