Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2–3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Optional: 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar or lemon juice, 2 tbsp grated parmesan, 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Trim ends of Brussels sprouts and slice in half lengthwise.
- Toss sprouts in a bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings.
- Spread them cut-side down in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Roast for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until edges are crispy and browned.
- Serve hot with a squeeze of lemon or sprinkle of parmesan, if desired.
Notes
- Make sure Brussels sprouts are dry for maximum crispiness.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan to ensure even roasting.
- Add balsamic glaze, honey, or bacon for variation.
- Store leftovers up to 4 days; reheat in oven or skillet for best texture.
