A rich and indulgent banana bread swirled with creamy peanut butter and loaded with chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups—perfect for dessert, snacks, or an extra-special breakfast.
Ingredients
- 3 overripe bananas, mashed
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
- Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas, melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Stir dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined—do not overmix.
- Fold in most of the chopped Reese’s and swirl in the peanut butter.
- Pour the batter into the loaf pan, topping with remaining Reese’s and chocolate chips if using.
- Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- Add chopped peanuts for extra crunch or swirl Nutella for a chocolate twist.
- Bake in muffin tins for 20–25 minutes at 350°F for a portable version.
- Wrap tightly to keep the bread moist and fresh longer.
