Description

These Ranch Cheddar Chicken Burgers are juicy, cheesy, and packed with herby ranch flavor. Made with ground chicken, ranch seasoning, and sharp cheddar, they’re a quick and flavorful twist on burger night that’s perfect for grilling or skillet cooking.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp dry ranch seasoning mix (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray
  • Optional for serving: burger buns or lettuce wraps, lettuce, tomato, red onion, avocado, extra ranch dressing or mayo, pickles

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, cheddar cheese, ranch seasoning, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties, pressing slightly thinner in the center for even cooking.
  3. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat and lightly grease with olive oil or spray.
  4. Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Let rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve on buns or lettuce wraps with desired toppings.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey instead of chicken if preferred—choose one with some fat for juiciness.
  • Homemade ranch seasoning can be made with dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix in diced jalapeños, cooked bacon, or smoked paprika for extra flavor variations.
  • Form into mini patties for sliders—great for parties with ranch dip.
  • Serve with fries, coleslaw, grilled corn, or a side salad for a complete meal.
