Description
These Ranch Cheddar Chicken Burgers are juicy, cheesy, and packed with herby ranch flavor. Made with ground chicken, ranch seasoning, and sharp cheddar, they’re a quick and flavorful twist on burger night that’s perfect for grilling or skillet cooking.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp dry ranch seasoning mix (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray
- Optional for serving: burger buns or lettuce wraps, lettuce, tomato, red onion, avocado, extra ranch dressing or mayo, pickles
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, cheddar cheese, ranch seasoning, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties, pressing slightly thinner in the center for even cooking.
- Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat and lightly grease with olive oil or spray.
- Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve on buns or lettuce wraps with desired toppings.
Notes
- Use ground turkey instead of chicken if preferred—choose one with some fat for juiciness.
- Homemade ranch seasoning can be made with dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Mix in diced jalapeños, cooked bacon, or smoked paprika for extra flavor variations.
- Form into mini patties for sliders—great for parties with ranch dip.
- Serve with fries, coleslaw, grilled corn, or a side salad for a complete meal.
