Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar or honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger (or 1 tsp fresh grated ginger)
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 3 cups cooked white or brown rice
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots or cucumber (optional)
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned and fully cooked.
- Drain excess fat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to blend flavors.
- Serve beef over bowls of warm rice.
- Top with green onions, sesame seeds, and optional veggies like shredded carrots or cucumber.
