Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar or honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger (or 1 tsp fresh grated ginger)
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 3 cups cooked white or brown rice
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots or cucumber (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned and fully cooked.
  2. Drain excess fat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to blend flavors.
  4. Serve beef over bowls of warm rice.
