Description

These pumpkin-shaped sliders are a festive twist on classic mini burgers, perfect for fall gatherings. Shaped like pumpkins and filled with savory beef, melty cheese, and your favorite toppings, they’re as fun as they are delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese, cut into small rounds or pumpkin shapes
  • 2 tbsp ketchup or burger sauce
  • Pickles (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 12 pretzel sticks
  • Kitchen twine

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Season ground beef with salt and pepper, then form 12 small patties.
  3. Cook patties in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked through.
  4. Gently tie each bun with kitchen twine to form a pumpkin shape, creating slight grooves without flattening.
  5. Brush tops of buns with olive oil or melted butter.
  6. Cut cheddar cheese into circles or pumpkin shapes and place on cooked patties.
  7. Assemble sliders with sauce, pickles, and beef patties inside the shaped buns.
  8. Bake sliders for 5–8 minutes until buns are lightly crispy and cheese is melted.
  9. Remove twine and insert a pretzel stick into the top of each bun as a pumpkin “stem.”

Notes

  • You can use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • For vegetarian sliders, try mini veggie patties or roasted mushrooms.
  • Experiment with different cheeses like pepper jack or Swiss.
  • For extra spice, add jalapeños or a spicy sauce.
  • Best reheated in the oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
