Ingredients
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- 1 lb ground beef or sausage
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni (optional)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for sautéing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium. Add onion and garlic and cook until soft. Add ground beef or sausage, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook until browned. Stir in pizza sauce and remove from heat.
- Spread meat mixture into the baking dish. Add pepperoni slices if using.
- Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Arrange tater tots in a single layer over the cheese.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, until tots are golden and cheese is bubbling.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
