Description
Pear Juice is a naturally sweet, smooth, and refreshing drink made from ripe pears. It’s hydrating, kid-friendly, and rich in nutrients—perfect as a light breakfast beverage or a cooling afternoon refreshment.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe pears (Bartlett, Anjou, or Bosc), washed, cored, and chopped
- 1/2 cup cold water or coconut water (for blending)
- 1 tsp lemon juice (optional, to brighten and prevent browning)
- 1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
Instructions
- Wash, core, and chop the pears. Peeling is optional for smoother juice.
- Add pears and water to a blender. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the mixture using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth for a clear juice.
- Stir in lemon juice and sweetener if using. Adjust to taste.
- Chill the juice or serve over ice. If using a juicer, simply juice the pears, add lemon juice if desired, and serve.
Notes
- Blend with apples or grapes for variety.
- Add ginger for a warm kick.
- Mix with cucumber or mint for a cooling effect.
- Use sparkling water for a pear spritzer.
- Include celery or spinach for a light green juice option.
