Description

This Orange Banana Smoothie is bright, creamy, and naturally sweet, blending ripe bananas with fresh orange juice for a refreshing and energizing drink. It’s quick to make, nourishing, and perfect for breakfast, snacks, or post-workout fuel.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium bananas, peeled
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice (about 2 oranges)
  • 1/2 cup plain or vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the bananas and add them to a blender.
  2. Pour in the fresh orange juice.
  3. Add the yogurt, milk, and optional honey and vanilla extract.
  4. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add ice cubes if desired and blend again until combined.
  6. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Frozen bananas create a thicker, colder smoothie without ice.
  • Use dairy-free yogurt and milk for a vegan version.
  • Add chia seeds or flaxseed for extra fiber.
  • A handful of spinach can be added without affecting flavor.
  • Best enjoyed fresh for optimal taste and texture.
