Ingredients
- 12 oz pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or linguine)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cups chicken broth or vegetable broth
- 1 cup milk or half-and-half
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: 1/4 cup heavy cream
- Fresh parsley or basil, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the broth and milk, bring to a simmer.
- Add uncooked pasta and cook uncovered, stirring often, for 10–12 minutes or until pasta is tender.
- Once most of the liquid has been absorbed and thickened, stir in the Parmesan cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or basil and serve warm.
