Description

These Mini Grilled Cheese Hearts are warm, melty, and fun bite-sized sandwiches made with crispy bread and gooey cheese. Cut into heart shapes, they’re perfect for parties, lunchboxes, or cozy snacks that feel special and playful.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices sandwich bread
  • 4 slices cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or American)
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Lay out the bread slices and top half of them with cheese.
  2. Cover with the remaining slices to make sandwiches.
  3. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out hearts from each sandwich. Gently press edges to seal.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of butter.
  5. Cook sandwich hearts on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until the cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from the skillet, cool slightly, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use different cheese combos like cheddar and mozzarella for variety.
  • Add a thin spread of pesto, mustard, or tomato slices before cutting for extra flavor.
  • Whole wheat or sourdough bread works well for a hearty version.
