Description

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- Optional: 1 tbsp brewed coffee
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf or bundt pan.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk, mixing just until combined.
- Divide batter in half. Stir cocoa powder (and coffee, if using) into one half.
- Spoon batters alternately into the pan, then swirl with a knife for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Add espresso powder for deeper chocolate flavor or almond extract for a nutty twist.
- Top with glaze or powdered sugar for extra flair.
- Freeze slices individually for easy storage and reheating.
