Healthier, moist, and fudgy brownies made with Greek yogurt to add protein and reduce fat, perfect for a guilt-free chocolate treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour or whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (non-fat or low-fat)
- 3/4 cup sugar or sugar substitute
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix Greek yogurt, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just blended.
- Fold in dark chocolate chips if using.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20–25 minutes.
- Check doneness with a toothpick; it should come out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool before cutting into squares.

- Add chopped nuts or swirl peanut butter for extra flavor.
- Use almond flour for a gluten-free version.
- Add espresso powder to enhance chocolate flavor.
