Description

Healthier, moist, and fudgy brownies made with Greek yogurt to add protein and reduce fat, perfect for a guilt-free chocolate treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour or whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (non-fat or low-fat)
  • 3/4 cup sugar or sugar substitute
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix Greek yogurt, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just blended.
  5. Fold in dark chocolate chips if using.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20–25 minutes.
  7. Check doneness with a toothpick; it should come out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Let cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Add chopped nuts or swirl peanut butter for extra flavor.
  • Use almond flour for a gluten-free version.
  • Add espresso powder to enhance chocolate flavor.
  • Use plain Greek yogurt for best control of sweetness.
