Description

Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these Low Calorie Air Fryer Zucchini Fries are a healthy and satisfying alternative to traditional fries—perfect for dipping and guilt-free snacking.


Ingredients

  • 2 medium zucchinis, cut into fry-sized sticks
  • 1 egg or 2 egg whites, beaten
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp dried Italian herbs or paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut zucchinis into sticks, about 3–4 inches long and 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Whisk egg in one bowl. In another, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and optional herbs.
  4. Dip zucchini sticks into egg, then coat in breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly.
  5. Place in air fryer basket in a single layer. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
  6. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  7. Cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Add cayenne or chili powder for a spicy kick.
  • Use gluten-free breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes for a gluten-free version.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat in the air fryer to maintain crispiness.
