Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these Low Calorie Air Fryer Zucchini Fries are a healthy and satisfying alternative to traditional fries—perfect for dipping and guilt-free snacking.
Ingredients
- 2 medium zucchinis, cut into fry-sized sticks
- 1 egg or 2 egg whites, beaten
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Cooking spray or olive oil spray
- Optional: 1/2 tsp dried Italian herbs or paprika
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut zucchinis into sticks, about 3–4 inches long and 1/2 inch thick.
- Whisk egg in one bowl. In another, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and optional herbs.
- Dip zucchini sticks into egg, then coat in breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly.
- Place in air fryer basket in a single layer. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Add cayenne or chili powder for a spicy kick.
- Use gluten-free breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes for a gluten-free version.
- Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat in the air fryer to maintain crispiness.
