Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add asparagus and cook 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly tender.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Push asparagus to the side and add shrimp in a single layer.
- Cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
- Stir in lemon juice, zest, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Toss shrimp and asparagus in the sauce until well coated, then remove from heat.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
