Description
Lavender Lemonade is a refreshing and fragrant summer drink that blends the floral notes of lavender with the tartness of fresh lemons, creating a calming and elegant drink perfect for warm afternoons.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender
- 1 cup water (for syrup)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar or honey
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 3 cups cold water
- Ice
- Optional: lemon slices, lavender sprigs, or edible flowers for garnish
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine dried lavender, 1 cup water, and sugar (or honey). Bring to a simmer and stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat and let the mixture steep for 10–15 minutes.
- Strain out the lavender and let the syrup cool.
- In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice with 3 cups cold water.
- Stir in the cooled lavender syrup and mix well. Adjust sweetness or lemon flavor to taste.
- Pour over ice and garnish with lemon slices or lavender sprigs.
Notes
- For a milder floral taste, reduce the lavender steeping time or use less lavender.
- If using fresh lavender, double the amount of lavender compared to dried.
- Use honey for a more earthy sweetness or try adding mint leaves for an herbal twist.
- For a sparkling version, replace part of the water with club soda or lemon-flavored sparkling water.
- Can be spiked with vodka or gin for an adult version.
