Description

This Keto Hamburger Broccoli Skillet is a cheesy, hearty, and low-carb one-pan meal made with ground beef, broccoli, and a creamy sauce. It’s quick, comforting, and perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 cups fresh or frozen broccoli florets
  • 1 small onion, chopped (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, draining excess grease if necessary.
  2. Stir in garlic and onion (if using) and cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant and softened.
  3. Add broccoli florets to the skillet. If using fresh broccoli, steam briefly first for faster cooking. Cook until broccoli is tender.
  4. Lower the heat and stir in cream cheese and heavy cream, mixing until smooth and creamy.
  5. Sprinkle in shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted and the sauce coats the beef and broccoli.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes to taste. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Swap ground beef for ground turkey, chicken, or sausage for variety.
  • Add mushrooms, zucchini, or spinach for extra vegetables.
  • Mix cheeses such as mozzarella or Monterey Jack for a different flavor.
  • For a lighter version, reduce cream cheese and replace with a splash of broth.
  • Top with crushed pork rinds or toasted almonds for added crunch.
