Description
This Keto Hamburger Broccoli Skillet is a cheesy, hearty, and low-carb one-pan meal made with ground beef, broccoli, and a creamy sauce. It’s quick, comforting, and perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prep.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 cups fresh or frozen broccoli florets
- 1 small onion, chopped (optional)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, draining excess grease if necessary.
- Stir in garlic and onion (if using) and cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant and softened.
- Add broccoli florets to the skillet. If using fresh broccoli, steam briefly first for faster cooking. Cook until broccoli is tender.
- Lower the heat and stir in cream cheese and heavy cream, mixing until smooth and creamy.
- Sprinkle in shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted and the sauce coats the beef and broccoli.
- Season with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes to taste. Serve hot.
Notes
- Swap ground beef for ground turkey, chicken, or sausage for variety.
- Add mushrooms, zucchini, or spinach for extra vegetables.
- Mix cheeses such as mozzarella or Monterey Jack for a different flavor.
- For a lighter version, reduce cream cheese and replace with a splash of broth.
- Top with crushed pork rinds or toasted almonds for added crunch.
