A warm and indulgent dessert featuring soft cinnamon rolls baked in a rich, nutty brown butter sauce and topped with a sweet vanilla glaze.
Ingredients
- 1 can or batch cinnamon roll dough
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk or cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a skillet.
- Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat, stirring until it turns golden brown and develops a nutty aroma.
- Cut the cinnamon roll dough into pieces and arrange them evenly in the skillet.
- Pour the brown butter over the dough pieces.
- Sprinkle brown sugar and ground cinnamon evenly on top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked in the center.
- In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk or cream, and vanilla extract to make a smooth glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
Notes
- Use store-bought cinnamon roll dough for convenience.
- Add chopped pecans or walnuts for extra crunch.
- Mix cream cheese into the glaze for a richer flavor.
- Drizzle caramel sauce for added indulgence.
- A cast iron skillet works best for even baking.
