Description

These heart-shaped mini pizzas are fun, festive, and delicious — perfect for Valentine’s Day, parties, or making pizza night extra special. They’re cheesy, crispy, and totally customizable with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 ball pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni, cooked sausage, or veggies (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning or dried oregano
  • Flour, for dusting
  • Optional: fresh basil, red pepper flakes, grated parmesan for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to about 1/4-inch thickness.
  3. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter or knife to cut out heart shapes.
  4. Place the heart-shaped dough pieces on the baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil and bake for 3–5 minutes to partially cook the crusts.
  5. Remove from the oven and spread a small amount of pizza sauce on each heart.
  6. Top with shredded mozzarella and your favorite toppings.
  7. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning or oregano, then return to the oven.
  8. Bake for an additional 6–8 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven, garnish as desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use pesto or Alfredo sauce for variety.
  • Try dessert versions with Nutella and fruit.
  • Make quick versions on flatbreads, tortillas, or English muffins.
  • To make ahead, par-bake the crusts and refrigerate or freeze until ready to top and bake.
  • Great for parties — serve with dipping sauces or as part of a pizza bar.
