Description

These Healthy Cookies are soft, chewy, and naturally sweetened with bananas and applesauce — no sugar, no flour, and no guilt! They make a perfect wholesome snack or quick breakfast that’s deliciously simple and nourishing.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 cups oats (old-fashioned or quick oats)
  • 1/4 cup almond milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the bananas: In a large bowl, mash ripe bananas until smooth. The riper the bananas, the sweeter the cookies.
  3. Mix wet ingredients: Stir in applesauce and almond milk until combined.
  4. Add oats: Mix in oats until fully incorporated. If the mixture is too wet, add more oats until thick but scoopable.
  5. Shape the cookies: Scoop small mounds onto the baking sheet and flatten slightly.
  6. Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes, until set and lightly golden around the edges.
  7. Cool and enjoy: Let cool for 5 minutes on the pan, then transfer to a wire rack. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Add raisins, nuts, or dark chocolate chips for extra flavor.
  • Mix in cinnamon, nutmeg, or vanilla for a spice boost.
  • Use any milk of choice — oat, soy, coconut, or dairy.
  • Replace applesauce with another mashed banana if needed.
  • Store at room temperature for 3 days, refrigerate for 5, or freeze up to 2 months.
