Description

Ground Beef Cheesy Quesadillas are a quick and satisfying handheld meal packed with seasoned beef and gooey melted cheese in a crispy tortilla. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or a snack, they’re easy to make and full of flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)
  • Optional: sour cream, salsa, guacamole, chopped cilantro for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté diced onions until soft.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in taco seasoning and garlic powder, cook until well blended.
  3. Remove beef from skillet and wipe skillet clean.
  4. Place a tortilla in the skillet over medium heat. Sprinkle cheese over half the tortilla.
  5. Add seasoned beef over the cheese and top with a bit more cheese. Fold the tortilla over and press lightly.
  6. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  7. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Slice into wedges and serve with toppings if desired.

  • Add jalapeños or hot sauce for spice.
