Description

This Grapefruit Smoothie is bright, zesty, and naturally sweet, combining the tart freshness of grapefruit with creamy banana and yogurt. It’s a refreshing and nutrient-rich drink perfect for breakfast or a midday boost.

Ingredients

  • 1 grapefruit, peeled, segmented, seeds removed
  • 1 banana (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or plant-based yogurt
  • 1/2 cup orange juice or almond milk
  • 12 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1 tsp fresh mint or grated ginger (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add grapefruit segments, banana, yogurt, and orange juice or almond milk to a blender.
  2. Add ice cubes, honey/maple syrup, and optional mint or ginger.
  3. Blend on high until smooth and creamy, scraping down sides as needed.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or consistency as desired.
  5. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately. Garnish with mint if desired.

Notes

  • Use frozen banana for a thicker, creamier texture.
  • Adjust sweetness based on how tart your grapefruit is.
  • Add strawberries, pineapple, or spinach for variety and extra nutrition.
  • Use coconut water instead of juice for a lighter smoothie.
