Description

Ingredients

  • 4 thick slices artisan bread (such as sourdough or brioche)
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 4 ounces brie cheese or white cheddar, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)
  • 12 teaspoons honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. If using cream cheese, spread a light layer on the unbuttered side of one slice.
  3. Layer brie or white cheddar evenly over the unbuttered side of the bread.
  4. Scatter fresh blueberries evenly over the cheese. Sprinkle with fresh thyme and drizzle with honey if desired.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing outward.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat and place the sandwich in the pan.
  7. Cook slowly for 4–5 minutes per side, until the bread is golden brown and crisp and the cheese is fully melted.
  8. Remove from heat, let rest for 1 minute, then slice and serve warm.
