Description

Golden, flaky puff pastry twists filled with sweet berry jam and finished with a light vanilla glaze, creating an elegant yet easy dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/3 cup mixed berry jam or preserves
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • For the glaze:
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tbsp milk or lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly roll out the puff pastry and spread a thin layer of berry jam over half of the sheet.
  3. Fold the other half over the jam to form a layered rectangle.
  4. Cut the pastry into strips (about 1 inch wide) and gently twist each strip into a spiral.
  5. Place twists on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  6. Brush each twist with beaten egg and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  7. Bake for 15–18 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly, then whisk together glaze ingredients and drizzle over the twists before serving.
