Ingredients
- 2 ribeye, filet mignon, or sirloin steaks
- 8–10 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- Season steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side depending on thickness and preferred doneness. Remove and let rest.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and add minced garlic. Cook until fragrant.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque.
- Return steaks to the skillet and spoon garlic butter over both steaks and shrimp.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and a splash of lemon juice, if using. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use high-quality steak cuts like ribeye or filet mignon for best results.
- Substitute shrimp with scallops or lobster tail for variation.
- To reheat, use a skillet over low heat with a bit of butter to maintain texture.
- Avoid microwaving to prevent rubbery shrimp.
- Red pepper flakes can be added to the butter for a spicy twist.
