Description

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: extra cinnamon or maple syrup for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the milk, maple syrup, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir just until combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it.
  5. Pour batter onto the skillet to form pancakes of your desired size.
