Description
A festive no-bake dessert featuring creamy eggnog mascarpone layers and coffee-soaked ladyfingers, served in individual cups for an elegant holiday treat.
Ingredients
- 24 ladyfinger cookies
- 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
- 1/2 cup eggnog (plus extra for mixing)
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
Instructions
- In a bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- In another bowl, mix mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and 2–3 tablespoons of eggnog until smooth.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.
- In a shallow dish, combine cooled coffee with a splash of eggnog.
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture without over-soaking.
- Place a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of serving cups.
- Add a layer of the creamy mixture on top.
- Repeat layers until cups are filled, finishing with cream on top.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours.
- Before serving, sprinkle ground nutmeg over the top.
Notes
- Do not over-soak ladyfingers to prevent sogginess.
- Add rum extract for a more traditional holiday flavor.
- Sprinkle cocoa powder or chocolate shavings for variation.
- Can be made a day ahead for best flavor.
- Use flavored coffee for a subtle twist.
