Ingredients
- 2–3 ripe peaches, halved or sliced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar or brown sugar
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- Optional: pinch of nutmeg or splash of vanilla extract
- Optional garnish: chopped walnuts or pecans, fresh mint
Instructions
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat until it begins to bubble.
- Place peaches cut side down in a single layer.
- Sprinkle sugar evenly over peaches, followed by cinnamon.
- Cook without stirring for 2–3 minutes, until the peaches start to caramelize.
- Flip each piece gently and cook another 2 minutes, spooning syrup over the tops.
- Add nutmeg or vanilla extract during the last minute if using.
- Remove from skillet, spoon syrup over, and garnish with nuts or mint if desired.
