Description

A cozy and aromatic lavender honey latte combining rich coffee, floral lavender, and natural sweetness from honey for a calming café-style drink at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 shot espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 tsp dried culinary lavender
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine water, honey, and dried lavender.
  2. Heat gently over low heat and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes to infuse.
  3. Remove from heat and strain out the lavender. Set syrup aside.
  4. Brew a shot of espresso or prepare strong coffee.
  5. Heat the milk until warm and frothy.
  6. Pour the coffee into a cup and stir in 1–2 teaspoons of lavender honey syrup.
  7. Add the warm milk and stir gently to combine.
  8. Add vanilla extract if desired.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not over-steep lavender to avoid bitterness.
  • Adjust honey to taste for desired sweetness.
  • Use oat or almond milk for a dairy-free version.
  • Let coffee cool and serve over ice for an iced latte.
  • Syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
