Description
A cozy and aromatic lavender honey latte combining rich coffee, floral lavender, and natural sweetness from honey for a calming café-style drink at home.
Ingredients
- 1 shot espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
- 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1 tsp dried culinary lavender
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp water
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine water, honey, and dried lavender.
- Heat gently over low heat and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes to infuse.
- Remove from heat and strain out the lavender. Set syrup aside.
- Brew a shot of espresso or prepare strong coffee.
- Heat the milk until warm and frothy.
- Pour the coffee into a cup and stir in 1–2 teaspoons of lavender honey syrup.
- Add the warm milk and stir gently to combine.
- Add vanilla extract if desired.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not over-steep lavender to avoid bitterness.
- Adjust honey to taste for desired sweetness.
- Use oat or almond milk for a dairy-free version.
- Let coffee cool and serve over ice for an iced latte.
- Syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
