Description

A creamy and comforting twist on a classic sandwich, featuring tender chicken in rich Alfredo sauce served on soft buns for an easy and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups ground chicken or shredded cooked chicken
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 100g cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat and add minced garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  2. If using ground chicken, cook until browned and fully cooked. If using shredded chicken, add and warm through.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and let it simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and cream cheese until smooth and fully combined.
  5. Add parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  6. Mix in mozzarella cheese if using for extra creaminess.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste and simmer for a few minutes.
  8. Spoon the creamy chicken mixture onto hamburger buns.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for a quicker option.
  • Brioche buns add extra richness to the sandwich.
  • Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for more flavor.
  • Sprinkle red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
  • Store filling separately from buns for up to 3 days.
  • Add a splash of milk or broth when reheating to loosen the sauce.
