Description

Easy Cheesy Drop Biscuits are soft, buttery, cheese-filled biscuits that require no rolling or cutting. Just mix, drop, and bake for a warm, savory treat that’s perfect with any meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder.
  3. Stir in shredded cheese until evenly distributed.
  4. Add milk and melted butter. Stir just until combined. Dough will be thick and sticky.
  5. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes until tops are golden and biscuits are cooked through.
  7. Serve warm. Optionally, brush with more melted butter or sprinkle with herbs.
