Description

Easter Dirt Cake Casserole is a festive no-bake dessert with layers of crushed Oreos, creamy pudding, and whipped topping, decorated with pastel candies and mini cookies — perfect for spring gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (14 oz) Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 cup pastel-colored candy-coated chocolates (e.g., M&M’s)
  • 1/2 cup mini Oreo cookies (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Crush Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or a rolling pin and bag method.
  2. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, about 2 minutes.
  4. Fold the pudding into the cream cheese mixture, then fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.
  5. In a 9×13-inch casserole dish, layer half of the crushed Oreos on the bottom.
  6. Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the crushed Oreos.
  7. Top with remaining crushed Oreos, then decorate with pastel candies and mini Oreo cookies.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

  • Use chocolate pudding for a richer flavor.
  • Add green-tinted shredded coconut to resemble grass.
  • Top with candy bunnies or marshmallow chicks for an extra festive touch.
  • Make ahead for best flavor and easy prep.
  • Fresh whipped cream can substitute Cool Whip if stabilized.
