Description

Crunchy Crispy Air Fryer Chicken & Mozzarella Wraps are toasted tortilla wraps filled with juicy chicken, melted mozzarella, and fresh veggies — baked in the air fryer until golden and crispy for a quick, satisfying meal with minimal oil and mess.


Ingredients

  • Cooked chicken tenders or cooked chicken breasts (breaded or plain), sliced or chopped
  • 1 cup shredded or sliced mozzarella cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas or wraps
  • Mayonnaise, ranch, or your favorite sauce (optional spread)
  • Lettuce or baby spinach
  • Tomato slices or diced tomato
  • Olive oil spray (for crisping the outside of the wrap)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lay a tortilla flat and spread a thin layer of mayonnaise, ranch, or your chosen sauce over it.
  3. Place a portion of chicken and mozzarella in the center of the tortilla, then add lettuce/spinach and tomato.
  4. Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly like a burrito.
  5. Lightly spray the outside of the wrap with olive oil (this helps create a golden, crispy exterior).
  6. Place the wrap seam-side down in the air fryer basket. Cook for 7–9 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the tortilla is golden and crispy and the cheese inside is melted.
  7. Let the wrap cool slightly before slicing in half and serving hot.

Notes

  • You can use shredded rotisserie/chicken or breaded chicken tenders depending on your preference—breaded chicken gives extra crunch.
  • Swap mozzarella for cheddar or pepper jack for a different flavor profile.
  • For extra veggies or crunch add sliced jalapeños, pickles, or avocado before rolling.
  • If preparing ahead, wrap tightly and store in the refrigerator. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 4–5 minutes for maximum crispness (don’t microwave – tortilla gets soggy).
  • Use large flour tortillas for best wrap flexibility; whole wheat or spinach wraps work too if you prefer.
