Croissant Smash Burgers are a next-level twist on the classic burger, featuring juicy, crispy-edged smash patties tucked inside buttery, flaky toasted croissants. They’re rich, flavorful, and fast to make—perfect for an indulgent lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 croissants, halved and lightly toasted
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 4 cheese slices (American, cheddar, or Swiss)
- Pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion (optional toppings)
- 4 tbsp burger sauce or mayo
- 1 tbsp butter or olive oil (for toasting croissants)
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat until very hot.
- Form ground beef into 4 loose balls (about 4 oz each). Season with salt and pepper.
- Toast croissant halves cut-side down in a pan with butter or oil until golden. Set aside.
- Place beef balls on the hot skillet and smash them flat with a spatula. Cook 2–3 minutes until edges are crisp.
- Flip burgers, top with cheese, and cook another 1–2 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Assemble burgers: spread sauce on croissant halves, then add patty and desired toppings.
- Top with remaining croissant halves, press gently, and serve immediately.
