Description

Crispy Deep‑Fried Cheesecake Bites feature creamy, luscious cheesecake filling encased in a golden, crunchy shell—perfect for an indulgent, bite‑sized dessert treat.

Ingredients

  • For the cheesecake filling:
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (or milk)
  • For the coating:
  • 1 package egg roll wrappers or wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup all‑purpose flour (for dredging)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (optional for extra crunch)
  • For frying:
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • For serving:
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Chocolate sauce or caramel sauce (optional, for dipping)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually mix in heavy cream until creamy and spreadable.
  2. Cut wrappers into ~4″ squares. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each wrapper.
  3. Fold edges over the filling to seal each packet. Moisten edges with water to secure and prevent leaks.
  4. Set up three stations: flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs (if using). Dip each packet in flour, then egg wash, then breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a pot or fryer to 350°F (175°C). Fry bites in batches for 2–3 minutes, turning until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Once cool enough, dust with powdered sugar. Serve with chocolate or caramel sauce if desired.

Notes

  • Add lemon zest, cocoa powder, or fruit puree to the filling for flavor variations.
  • Include diced berries in the filling for a fruity twist.
  • For a no‑fry option, bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes, brushing with melted butter.
  • You can freeze assembled bites for up to one month; fry directly from frozen (add 1–2 minutes cooking time).
